Hey everyone!
Ethereum’s founder, Vitalik Buterin, has proposed a new approach to Ethereum’s Proof-of-Stake (PoS) validation. Currently, Ethereum requires around 28,000 signatures to validate a block, a number that’s expected to rise significantly.
Buterin’s solution? Reduce the number of signatures per slot to 8,192. This would simplify the technical aspects, improve security, and address quantum resistance concerns. He’s suggested three ways to implement this: Decentralized Staking Pools, Two-Tiered Staking, and Rotating Participation (Accountable Committees).
Buterin believes in “security through simplicity.” This proposed shift is a key moment in Ethereum’s ongoing development. You can read the full report on this matter over at Cryptoslate.
